  • Email Address and Name – Collected during Google Authentication for user account creation and management.
  • Payment Information – Handled securely by Stripe for Premium Plan subscriptions. We do not store full payment details on our servers.

We collect non-personally identifiable usage data to improve our services, such as:

  • The number of AI-generated solutions processed per user.
  • General usage trends to optimize Service performance.
  • Logs of API requests to detect and prevent misuse.

2.3 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

LitCode may use cookies or similar technologies to:

  • Enable essential functionalities of the Service.
  • Improve user experience and service reliability.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • If you request deletion, your personal data will be permanently erased from our systems, subject to any legal or security-related obligations requiring extended retention.

User-Submitted Content

  • Screenshots and text input are processed locally in your browser, then sent to third-party AI services (e.g., OpenAI, Claude API, Amazon Textract) for analysis and generation of coding solutions.
  • We do not store, log, or retain user-submitted content on our servers beyond transient caching necessary to fulfill your requests.

5. Sharing Your Information

5.1 Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on trusted third-party services for essential functionalities:

  • OpenAI API – To generate AI-based coding solutions.
  • Claude API – To generate AI-based coding solutions.
  • Amazon Textract – To extract coding questions from screenshots.
  • Google Authentication – For secure login authentication.
  • Stripe – For payment processing (subscription purchases).
  • AWS – For secure cloud storage.

Each provider receives only the data necessary to perform their functions and is contractually obligated to protect your data under applicable privacy and security standards.

We may disclose your personal data if required to comply with applicable laws, court orders, or governmental regulations, or if such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the rights of others.

8. Account Deletion and Data Removal

If you wish to delete your LitCode account and remove all associated data:

  • Email us at support@litcode.ai with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."
  • Once processed, all your personal data will be permanently erased from our systems, subject to any legal or security-related retention obligations.

9. Service Availability & Changes

  • LitCode reserves the right to modify or discontinue any feature or service at any time, with or without notice.
  • We may update pricing, plans, or service features with prior notice to active users.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

This Privacy Policy is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10.1 Binding Arbitration

By using LitCode, you agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to this Privacy Policy shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration conducted in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

  • Arbitration will take place in California, USA, or may be conducted remotely by mutual agreement.
  • Each party shall bear its own arbitration costs unless otherwise determined by the arbitrator.
  • The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding, with limited rights to appeal.

10.2 Waiver of Class Actions

You waive the right to participate in class-action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration against LitCode. All disputes must be handled on an individual basis.

10.3 Exceptions to Arbitration

Notwithstanding the above, LitCode reserves the right to seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights, proprietary information, or prevent unauthorized access to the Service.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users or by posting a notice in the Service.
